I first played Tetris on a friends gameboy from time to time, that music is burned into my memory and still my favourite version. but I spent more time playing this version which was installed on the school computers....and "followed" me home and onto our 486.

This whole era was a mess (which is what makes it interesting now) and you'll spend just as much time in dos as you will windows. Off topic but typically I install both IPX and TCP on my Win9x-XP machines. Mostly for file sharing and because entering a PC's IP address is easy will rely on TCP for copying files. But as a bonus means I can play network games, Most of the time I don't have anyone to play with but can be useful …

Man that mixer is almost as big as the PC! but it's just lying around then makes perfect sense. I run audio extension cables from the back of each PC and manually plug the speakers into which ever PC I'm using at the time, takes a lot less space but naturally no ability to mix different sources

I'm going from memory here but I think from LX or maybe BX Intel dropped support for more then 1 FDD. This was true for any motherboard out of the Intel factory so also included Dell and Gateway who used Intel made boards during this era.
