Re: Do you dislike the British?

in Milliways
As a foreigner living in England I find it a funny country at times. Ireland, Scotland, Wales are proud of their nationality and embrace it. They celebrate their Saint Andrew/David/Patrick day, push to be able to select their country under citizenship in government documents, etc. England on the …

Re: Compaq armada 1750

Generic ATI rage drivers may be an option as well? For the modem you can probably install a windows standard modem just to get rid of that annoying yellow mark. InfraRed I've no cheat driver but you can always disable in bios if you like having a "clean" device manager

Re: Retro computer builds that surprised you the most because they worked better than expected

And another one I heard of recently - it's not my story to tell - but come and show them the Cono Box, Pierre ! Yeh the LG seems pretty well made. The guy I got it from said it was a really good screen, again lack of space was the reason he was …

Re: Abit VP6 Dual p3

Cool rig and nice backstory. I love my Dual Slot1 P3 600 for similar reason it's the history more then the actual spec. The Quake 3 test is about the only test I can think of as well. NT4/Backoffice or 2000/2003 SBS suite of apps may be fun to play around with if your into that kind of thing? Not …

Re: [Build Advice] Win 98 / DOS build — Help confirming parts stock + P-III w/ ASUS P2B-F motherboard

Yeh I don't get the point of overclocking anymore. I understand some people simply like the challenge and that's fine but the fact is you could simply get say a P4 based system for almost nothing and it'll be faster then even most extreme P3 overclock. Stability is much more preferable in my book
