It is like with LAN cards, modems, 2D or 3D acceleration and everything. It all depends on the cpu. And how good is the acceleration. Think of IDE as a verry fast framebuffer and SCSI as a 2D accelerated. Thats simple.

XT that does not need any drivers or memory managers i use with DOS 3.31. But anything newer gets a 6.22 or 7.10.

Then you have to count your gameplay in frames per minute, so what is really the point. I barely runs with a 486DX or Cyrix, it is tailored for a dual pipelined Pentium, thats it.

I usually use de Compaqified MS-DOS 3.31 for authentic feel(If you need hard drives more than 32MB), or MS-DOS 5.00 rev b. (Updated FDISK and FORMAT). But in reality you can use MS-DOS 6.22, just delete drvspace.bin or dblspace.bin from root, to save memory. Unless he will be using Double Space ;) …

I use mostly Geforce MX cards in my P3 AGP ISA DOS rigs, it has sutch a good VGA compadibility, and are so common, affordable, low power.

I was using Windows 3.11 and Winplay 3 and allso Windows 95 and Winamp and i can tell you for a fact a 486 DX2-66 will not play a 128kbs in full quality, but you can tweak it to play, but a DX4-100 will play, and Pentiums have no problem. I can not comment on other bitrates, because that was the …

Well in Estonia we do not really need any WiFi, my mobile dataplan provides me 50GB domestically, and plus 5GB over entire europe for just 7EUR a month, plus i have limitless phone calls and SMS.
