Well, if you have a 386 or 486, then it is the best solution for office programis, paint programs, ftp and mail. Because Windows 95 is ok, but has slow installation procedure, and is not so fast. And you can use Calmira with Windows 3.1x, so it really looks like Windows 9x.

Best bet is a Socket 7 motherboards, with jumpers to change FSB and X. Then just use most powerful Intel cpu you have.. And put switches in a front panel, and then you can change the speed to anything, i have run a Pentium MMX 200@75MHz.

Still use Windows FWG 3.11, and TCP/IP stack, plus WS FTP LE and i have bakop.com free cloud FTP server to move files between old computers. HTTP internet is totally unusable, even vogons.com chrashes!

Cyanoacrylate wil not melt the pcb. And is safe to use. It wi leave white stainsand residue, but it is universal for that type of glue.

In eastern europe, things moved a litle bit slower 😀 1996. 286-12 1997. 486 SX-33 1998. 486 DX2-66 1998. Pentium 133 1999. Pentium 166MMX 2000. Celeron 333 2001. Pentium lll 500 After that no DOS sound capability. So rest is history. Ok Athlon XP 3000 and Core2Duo 8400 were some of my favourites.

Problem occurs on computers with fast cpus and large memory. Replace WAR2.EXE and SETUP.EXE integrated DOS4GW with DOS32A.
