Even if you can install DOS to Mac Mini, you sit in silence, or are you deaf. Yo can not even install LPT covox.

Well i am a fan on Duke Nukem 2, and i do have 4xOPL-SA3 (3 of them with wavetable headers, and they do not have a hanging note bug) based sound cards, so i just started doing things.

I ask and I answer, i used Blaster Master 6.2, it is a dos sound program. Only it can not open 3 files, i think because they are too small, but those files are not compressed, Because Audacity does open them, and plays them. These files are SB_17.MNI SB_19.MNI and SB_22.MNI. All else i converted and …

SB_x.MNI files are standard Sound Blaster VOC files, and few of them are compressed with Sound Blaster 8-2 or 8-3 ADPCM codec, but Duke Nukem 2 can play 8-4 ADPCM and uncompressed PCM files also. I extracted the SB_x.MNI files from NUKEM2.CMP. But now i need a comverter that can convert Sound Blaster ADPCM VOC files to Uncompressed PCM VOC files. Can somebody help me. This conversion should fix OPL-SAx and other Clone card issues. Or maybe someone has allready done such a conversion.

Modems(Absolutely useless!), CD-ROM(Even my 486DX33 has an IDE DVD Writer) drives, radio cards(Why??), TV tuner cards(Mainly analog...), PCI sound cards(Well i may get different opinions here 😁)

Yes, it needs a 8bit isa slot, all XT class computers and almost all 286 and 386 class computers have it, and even some 486 motherboards, but this card is only useful for XT and maybe 286 class computers, and no VGA, but you can connect a NTSC aware SCART RGB, or composite TV or monitor to it.

Found a cheap(-ish) IBM PS/2 model 30 (8530) motherboard, with 286/10 CPU. Unfortunately it doesn't include anything else, especially not the ISA riser board. IDK i have a PSP Street that i bought for 30EUROS, hacked it added emulators and source ports, and i can do all that and more. Mainly play NES games and Doom, and few others. But also Speccy and Atari games.

Tseng Cards are only good, if you have a ISA based 386 or 486. And then only the speed is better. So yo want to play all older EGA and VGA games, go with the S3. If you want to play Doom, buy a Pentium 😉 Do not mess around with Tseng. And matrox shines only in high resolutions.

I am using a AMD A10-7800 APU and a Asus A88X based motherboard. And windows XP works just fine, for everyday use and for gaming. And i dual boot it with Windows 7 and even can play Wolfenstein New Order with it. I bought it with balance in compadibility, speed and power usage in mind.
