I really f...g hate DOS games that require EMS memory, why did they do not have an option to use XMS. I mean modern games like Alladdin, come on guys....

IDK i have a PSP Street that i bought for 30EUROS, hacked it added emulators and source ports, and i can do all that and more. Mainly play NES games and Doom, and few others. But also Speccy and Atari games.

Tseng Cards are only good, if you have a ISA based 386 or 486. And then only the speed is better. So yo want to play all older EGA and VGA games, go with the S3. If you want to play Doom, buy a Pentium 😉 Do not mess around with Tseng. And matrox shines only in high resolutions.

Opel Astra GTE had it best, that digi-dash :) I only miss mainstream computer, that were part of your living room tv. Now it is a niche expensive market, like all in one computers in a keyboard and small desktop computer that look like a VCR, like MSX computers. Allso IBM model M and similar …

I am using a AMD A10-7800 APU and a Asus A88X based motherboard. And windows XP works just fine, for everyday use and for gaming. And i dual boot it with Windows 7 and even can play Wolfenstein New Order with it. I bought it with balance in compadibility, speed and power usage in mind.

Same way i really wated to play Warcraft, but first i got to play Warcraft 2, and never understanded why they did not upgrade the Warcraft One mouse interface. Same goes with Dune 2, versus CnC and Dune 2000.

System stays totaly cool. Air flows in the top large vent. And goes out from the side. If you can see then cpu and psu are all just under the vent. And the ambient airflow even holds the videocard cool. So no problems there. And yes i also bridged the original psu fuse and retrofited a fuse holder …

If you want to use Windows 3.1 then Riva TNT, but if you do not, then Geforce MX. It is that simple. S3 cards are very compatible, but not so fast as Nvidia cards. Cases cases, prefebli smaller AT and ATX desktop cases, because i have many 486 to Pentium III era matherboards, ISA sound cards and all else to make computers. Even multitude of AT and ATX power suplies. Put no worries, i put one 486 computer in dvd player case. And now i just finishing a Pentium …

I have a Compaq Deskpro 6000, it is a Socket 7 system, supports 8 slots of SIMM EDO RAM, and it is very robust and reliable computer. It also has that hidden partition bios, what i have disabled, and extracted the tools, so i can use them and change settings in ordinary DOS and Windows 3.1.
