Now I get a Blackscreen in GTA2 with WinME. What DG-Voodoo Version should I use and how do I need to configure it? Thx! Beside that: - ShadowWarrior 3dfx Port does not work either- - Turok1 does work with a tweaked ini (otherwise no 3dfx detection) but it has some graphical glitches. Greetings Doc

The BIG advantage of XFDISK is, that you can change it very simple from the OS itself, or from a dos-bootdisk. very handy.

The ESS-SOLO1 is BY FAR! the best dos-compatible PCI-soundcard. Games like DN2 do work just fine, there are lot's of ISA! Cards that have issues with that game.

I tested my System with WINME and WINME has internal Drivers for my ESS-SOLO1. These WDM-Drivers work fine. If I want to install my Win98SE Drivers, I get a report that These Drivers are not suitable for my Hardware, but they worked fine (WDM and DOS-Driver) for the i845 chipset and Win98se. …

If I only have a 286 and no slot left, there is no way of softmpu or any other tool to get the mt32 working on that machine.

No it's not. Everything works now! 😀 The soldering is 100% top. I took out the 3com and put another one in it, configured it to 280/I11 and now I get a stable connection to my NAS yeah!

I think there is a problem with the soldered 16Bit-Slots, but I am not sure. Pc-Config 8.20 says my et4000 is 8Bit! I will have to open the case to investigate this further.

Can someone please test an ESS-SOLO1 PCI Soundcard in a a motherboard with I865GV and Win98se? In Dos and Win2k it works great, in Win98se I get an (!) for the Dos/Win VXD-Driver and a bluescreen for the wdm-driver. I can't figure out what the problem is.

currently this setup is not working, because the etherlinkIII always does a negative FIFO test regardles which adresse I configure. I don't think that the etherlink is defective. The etherlinkIII is preconfigured at 300H and I5, but the 300H collides with the SC1630 Formosa, which has MPU401 at 300h …
