On my P200mm Win95b I only can use a very old version of scummvm, because later versions freeze or massively slowdown the mousedriver or the animations in games. I think it's due to the much more required cpu-power and ram-requirements.

Btw. I remember that the DiamondSpeedstar 24x can run more than 256colors in Win3x on a 286. All other card required at least a 386sx in oder to do so.

There exists a patched version that runs the game without any cd. If you put the original cd in a drive, you will get the intro and the music. it does also work if you have an image of the audio-cd but only with wdm-drivers in win98se. the patch/crack kills the audio-cd feature of a mounted image.

TVGA have UGLY vertical lines TFT. ET4000 cards are better, especial ones from diamond, others tend to have also visable lines on TFT. Disadvantage on ET4000 is that textmode 80x25 and EGA lowres are centered on TFT, VGA lowres is 0,5cm to the right on all cards I have. WDc11 are nearly the same as …

Interestingly red-book works on some games in win95 and win95 does not have any wdm-drivers! (with cd-images of course) keep in mind: using wdm means NO! FM!, that's a no go for me.

I really loved warp3. In 1995 I got in contact with Os2. It was the platform for the banking-software. I hated when they got from Warp4.5 to Windows. OS/2 was rockstable but not easy to use.

Currently checking my G4-PPC MacMini 1.42Ghz with 10.3.9 and Dosbox 0.72 with dappelgrey-frontent. working fine, but is relatively slow, even with 6000 cycles. Does it depend which renderer I choose? fullscreen/window ... Doc

After lot's of testing I would recommend only cards which have a centered (textmode/vga/ega lowres) and sharp image. therefore I recommend v3 and matrox cards, beside that r7000 is also excellent, but no win3x drivers for that one. If you would use win3x matrox is the way to go. use univbe for the …
