What's your DOS memory situation like? I'm under the impression that those 2 .SYS drivers are not required in your config.sys file (for games at least), and they take up a lot of memory. Perhaps removing them will up your available memory and help with the problem you're having.

Regarding old AT PSU's - what are the components that are likely to fail and cause damage? Is it just the caps? If yes then any in particular? I ask because surely a refurb is preferable to building one from scratch. Can an old PSU be made 'good as new' without too much effort?

Very nice indeed! I have 2xVoodoo2's in my PIII machine and they come in handy from time to time, have you considered adding some? I use a Geforce 2 Ultra too, but it's good to have a Glide option too.

I have a bag full of those units, if you post a pic + dimensions of the complete unit you're trying to fix, I'll check if I have one, or at least something similar. In my experience though no 2 cases use the same unit, they all seem to have developed their own with subtle differences.
