I swapped my GF2 Ultra for a Winfast GF2 GTS I had lying around and the 2D is much better at 1024x768. Still not amazing, but acceptable. Is there much difference in performance between the two? The advantage the ET4000AX chipset over the rest (including the ET4000 chipset, W32, etc), is that it looks the best. If speed was an issue then you wouldn't want ISA anyway; I've tried a stack of different cards recently in my 386 / 486 builds and couldn't go past the ET4000AX in either.

I think ET4000AX is the tseng ISA chipset, and it gets my vote too! Compatibility is good and it looks amazing compared to others I've tried.

It's an Ultra. But by 2D are we talking windows desktop, or 2D games? Within windows, anything above 800X600 looks nasty - bland and blurry. But within SVGA games, etc, it's beautiful. Great colours and very crisp - but then I guess these are much lower resolutions! I have some other GeForce 2's …
