They are DRAM memory sockets for the onboard ATI graphics chip. Still have two attached, so should work.

The P54SP4 supports only L2 async DIP cache (no PB) and 1024KB, so that criteria is met. I'll test my IBM 6x86-P166 when I get hold of it. I'll also try and get hold of a older CPU, but they seem to be more rare.

The slowest speed I've managed on my Socket 5 ASUS P54SP4 with a Pentium is (no cache disabling): According to Phil's benchmark settings: 3DBench2: 31.6 PCPBench /vgamode: 12.5 Doom: 4320 realticks (17,3 FPS) Quake: 10.5 FPS This was with a Matrox G200 PCI I'm sure a Cyrix would bench even slower.

Another option is to find a ASUS P3B-F (Intel 440BX chipset), buy the pinmodded Tualatin and a coppermine slotklet. None are hard to find and particular expensive.
