Sega Rally Championship with Direct3D patch requires slowdown utilites to run properly. Not sure if the same counts for the software version.

Gz on the CT2230. Best Soundblaster card imo if you want everything in one card. No hanging note on it, waveblaster connector ,less noisy than the CT17XX models and OPL3 chip.

If you're going with the PIII and ISA option I would highly recommend the ASUS P3B-F - Supports pin modded Tualatins, Coppermines and all Slot 1 processors. - Stable at 133mhz - Jumperfree, all settings are done in the BIOS I think it is the best 440BX board out there.

Hmm I dunno, upgrading from 100 to 133 Mhz wouldn't make much sense. In my experience Pentium's are heaps more common than socket 3 stuff, and they're often housed in a 486-era case - obviously an upgrade at some point. It'll be a Pentium with a boring PCI S3 vga card :) My thoughts exactly as well …

I'm using both the ways of getting Tualatin support in 440BX. I have a Powerleap and the pinmodded Tualatin. Both works fine. I prefer the pinmodded though as the Powerleap fan is a bit noisy. Never seen any instability.

I would also like to point out that since you are running a VLB SCSI controller you should be careful about enabling L1 writeback cache. Writeback and VLB busmastering SCSI doesn't work. Seriously ? I would have won a lot of time knowing that before :( Then I have a choice between WB or SCSI ... …

The increased resolution is great for many games with that CPU. Also it is a bit more quicker than the Voodoo 1 in certain games. Descent with 3DFX patch comes to mind.
