There is an inofficial patch at http://www.japheth.de/dwnload1.html (bottom of the page) to make the svga driver display 256 colours. Might be worth checking out. Vasyl: I made the change to the guide, but should now mention that the normal one only displays 16 clours 😀

thats because of the spaces in the path name. Do it differently: in dosbox type mount c "c:\program files\path to where your old games are" then c: you are now right where your games are and you only have to use "cd" to change the dir. For example cd gamex

I haven't run into troubles on Windows 3.1 yet. The most complicted would be the system benchmark of Norton Utilites, I guess.

hmm, running win 3.11 in 1024... Do you have a link to the drivers (so we can add it to the vga drivers thread mentioned a bit further up)? Keyboard not working after running windows is odd, I don't remember that happening to me.

you have to set the dosbox cycles so high that your CPU is just at the edge of being overtaxed. Best run dosbox in a window and run the taskmanager as well to see the CPU load. MT-32 and Exult: newer code of Exult supports both a real MT-32, a fake one 😀 and the MT-32 emulator.

from the download link, download from the current -msys section those autoconf, automake, libtool and install those as well. Sorry, but I do throw that stuff in there automatically now when I restup my msys environment, so i tend to forget to mention this 😀

yes, definitely go with the snapshot version and you need to install the dtk but install in this order: dtk and then the snapshot. The SDL patch is here somewhere 😀 got to find it as well again...

you need to install msys as well. From http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=2435 you need to download MSYS-1.0.11-2004.04.30-1.exe (from the snapshot dir) and msysDTK-1.0.1.exe. When you have that set up you should also get SDL 1.2.8, apply the patch for it that is around here and …

true, but that is not really a problem since you already know you are running a virus infested image :) by the way, if need be you could send me the infected game. I still have my Norton Antivirus floppy disks from 1996 or so around and could probably get them to run in dosbox. Maybe it is possible …
