when I tried 10 x64 with 1GB it was not really usable; considering the cheap tablets with 1GB I guess the 32bit version (which is what they use, even if their CPU is capable of 64bit) would fare better... 2GB is fine, 1.5GB is probably a big improvement over 1GB.

I had an Epox 8rda+ and it was a really nice board when new, but, it lacked the 4 pin 12v connector and even at the time epox was known for "bad caps"; anyway, I think a nforce 2 Epox with replaced caps would be pretty nice to have.

Vista drivers normally work for 7-8-10, it seems to have worked for you as expected. but, windows 7 by default should have OK d3d drivers for you? at least with my 9500PRO it had, it lacked OGL, but D3D was ok. in any case, if you have an IGP, you could always use that if you have the 2500K listed …

the main problem is that the software you are going to run is most likely only made for 1 CPU/Core and the chipset on those dual socket boards is nowhere near as good as the nforce 2, or even stuff like KT333. much lower FSB, memory performance and so on...
