Are 3 and 9 chip 30-pin parity SIMMs interchangeable? Or if a motherboard specifies a 9 chip SIMMs do I need to use 9 chip SIMMs exclusively instead of a 3 chip SIMMs? (To be clear, I would use only the same type and speed in a particular bank.) Thanks!

I collect x86 engineering samples and finding them in a scrap lot or for a really cheap price is really exciting. I bet so! And yeah, it is much more exciting to find them this way.

Agree ! You may have one of the only ones that are still in the hands of someone to Document it (recyclers do not care !) Sure. I'll post it over there tomorrow. UPDATE: I did find a near perfect match on Stason: https://stason.org/TULARC/pc/motherboards/U/UNIDENTIFIED-486-386SI4.html The only exception being that Stason lists the chipset as C&T but this board has a SiS (85C460) chipset. Never saw a BO processor though. Where did you find this CPU? I found it on eBay. Someone just listed it as a 386 CPU. I immediately recognized that it was old, and interesting.
