Re: Has Anyone Ever Seen/Heard of a DigiSpeech Plus?

Unfortunately, 3 of your links are for the Portable Sound Plus, which was made by the company Digispeech (later called DSP Solutions), not the Digispeech Plus (you can see from the image in my first post that they look nothing alike) which is a product of the company, and the other one is about the …

Has Anyone Ever Seen/Heard of a DigiSpeech Plus?

I came across the description for an interesting item recently, a Digispeech Plus (Model Number: DS311 or DS311A): https://i.imgur.com/rPrrI3Q.gif (Yes, this is literally the best image I could find of it anywhere) Anyone ever seen/heard of this item before? It has interesting specifications: "Easy …

Re: How Difficult Would It Be To Make an Interposer That Routes All Vcc Through a Variable Voltage Regulator?

Looks like I found my answer in one nice, well written document by IBM: http://datasheets.chipdb.org/IBM/x86/486/40011.PDF Turns out, while not easy, its not exactly difficult either. Def. way more work than I'd want to undertake. If anyone else is interested in doing it, let me know.

There's a motherboard hanging in my outdoor toilet with an SX20 on it... I was just reading through this thread, and came across this and had a "WTF" moment. Are outdoor toilets a "common" things in Australia? On an unrelated note, I can see why a 486DX2-40 is just about perfect. 30 FPS should be …

How Difficult Would It Be To Make an Interposer That Routes All Vcc Through a Variable Voltage Regulator?

After looking around enough I finally found some pinouts and other information on IBM's 486SLC3 chips. Apparently they conform to 386sx pinouts, except instead of having a Vcc of 5V or 3.3V, they actually use a variable voltage that can change from between 3.3V to 4.1V, so they use a voltage …

Re: OPL2LPT

Ooh I'll have to see if I can resurrect my 3d printer (not had a successful print in months - does filament 'go off'?) and print this case out! Yeah, due to the chemistry of common filament material, it does indeed have a so-called "shelf life". In order to be usable as a filament material it has …

Re: OPL2LPT

What are the chances of having an external parallel to gameport adapter along side the OPL2LPT? Something like this: http://stripesnoop.sourceforge.net/hardware/parallel2.html I'm not too familiar with the Gameport. Is everything about it standardized, or is it more variable than something like a …
