Figuring out how to clone ide drive onto SD card using G31 core2duo motherboard with single ide and Hirens boot CD. One version, not 15.2, has something image 2013 on it. Was able to backup. I'll have to use a motherboard with two ides for the direct clone option. PITA. Ide drive comes from duron …

I've just bought the ATI rage fury pro, mainly for the MCC features. Still haven't had time to test it being ill with flu. But also decided on getting an x1900 with Vivo breakaway cables to backup done vhs

Backed up some system/driver and backup cds for time computers to archive.org. Looking for ver 8 so that i can finally get the wallpaper

I haven't read about any complaints with ATI drivers around here. The reason they don't get recommended that often is that don't support 8 bit textures for table fog. Increasingly I am coming to believe that really doesn't matter that much. likewise. nvidia has issues running in built windows 98 …

I don't get the extra features of nvidia cards in win98. I've had issues with screensavers like 3D flying objects which throws an error using mx cards onwards. Or Anno 1602 max design intro scene not showing. Never had an issue with ATi cards.

I completed it in the early 2000's on an AMD K6-2 500MHz, ATI Rage 128 onboard and 128mb ram no issues

Repaired a 9800 Pro. Had two Radeons 9800 Pro's each missing an inductor. Had nothing to lose, so took an inductor off the card with artefacts and soldered onto radeon card which stalls when 3d apps load. Got it working, happy! Stress tested and is stable so managed to save a 9800 pro

Purchased a can of brake cleaner fluid on amazon which will be arriving tomorrow. I will be hosing down a grimy Abit AS8-V motherboard, which will be the test subject
