I have a friend with a box full of RDRAM. He was telling me that at one point he had 1gb and 512's but after 10 years they are all gone and 256/128's are all that remain. A maxed out 4gb RDRAM p4 would be such a cool project! come to think of it I never have even seen an enthusiast 423 motherboard

My ssd died at a week before 2 years from the manufacture date. 3 year warranty so the RMA time! setting up a temp p4 xp machine to use while I wait on that. currently using a pentium thinkpad until the p4 is done. happy holidays!

UPDATE: Expect a rather large post with 4-5 finished or at least half finished machines in it by the end of December. Two Pentium 3 machines, a P4, and an Athlon xp. EDIT: I forgot that there will also be a 486.

Quake is heavily optimized for a Pentium and fast FPU. Try running Doom on it and see what kind of results you get, that is a game that runs just fine on a 66 486.

older ps/2 mice are usable on the serial bus using an adapter. For example the 3 button Logitech Mouseman can still be found readily available and is usable in such a manner.

Older Enermax units are fantastic. I have a 475watt or so Noisetaker that I bought off of ebay for $30 shipped. It has an incredible 35-40 (cant remember which) amps on the +5 running a dual cpu Pentium 3 machine.

Well I got drunk today for thanksgiving. And bought 2gb of pc133 of ECC ram for my p3 (which wasnt needed) and threw a bid at a slot A motherboard. oops. Guys alcohol and ebay dont mix
