Yep, it is absolutely a trial-and-error thing 😀 A trick is to watch your CPU usage in Task Manager while you increase the number of cycles in DOSBox, and then edge it back a few percent once it reaches 100% usage.

I shall assume by use of the word DualView that you are using nVidia drivers. Please go to Control Panel > Display > Settings > Advanced > [video card name] > Full Screen Video > Full screen video controls > Full screen device = Disable, not Auto-Detect or anything else.

Did you read the VDMSound README? When you play a game using VDMSound, you need to right-click on it and choose "Run with VDMSound" for VDMSound to activate.
