apparently the cdaudio counter problem was a subchannel issue and I fixed it.

nvm, in my binary, switching isos and floppies is possible with the built-in GUI, I edited dos_tables.cpp, ide.cpp and menu.cpp to allow the swaps of said storage while the emulation is active with IDE active.

is it also possible to switch disks (both floppies and cdroms) anytime without having to close dosbox and restarting it, I mean, putting floppies and cdroms anytime we want without being mentioned in dosbox.conf (the GUI menu may also be ready for this)

for some reason, in my binary of PCem 8.1 (latest revision, 91), cdaudio appears broken, when I play a mixed mode CD in a virtual drive, it just doesn't play any sound and the timer doesn't go forward in any track (except track 1 which is the data one). what are the best settings to run Win98 and Win98SE with 32bit disk access? a lot of RAM helps. the problem is that Win98's page fault handling does not return to the same address which doesn't fit well with DOSBox's assumptions. 32-bit disk access apparently makes that worse. You can play around …

Fixing DOS/V would also mean 'expecting' implementation of common hardware that actually used it, like the stuff in NEC PC-88/PC-98. There are already specialized emulators for that purpose, Neko Project II is excellent for it, and SarahWalker doesn't owe emulation of a platform she is not …

the DOS/V problem isn't fixed yet, but the OS works fine with /HS=ON but not without any parameters in jdisp.sys. Considering that DOS/V 6.20 has the default setting in config.sys after it is installed, the part about the scrolling should be documented, so, is it possible to fix it too?

S3 Trio64 (N9) and Vision864 (Paradise) EDIT: the mouse pointer in the S3 Virge in 1024x768x32bit looks strange.

Alegend45, for some reason, 1024x768x32bit (same for 1280x1024x256) isn't available in the S3 on PCem and 1600x1200 has the mouse a bit busted.

some beta builds, notably 1500 of Win98, makes the emulator die for some reason when finishing setup (shortly before you get to the timezone config).

24bit/32bit color has some minor glitches in the right side of the desktop on Windows 3.1x and Windows 9x (ATI Mach64GX)

I have noticed that MS (not IBM) OS/2 1.0, 1.1 and 1.2 (not 1.21) don't work properly, same for IBM OS/2 2.0, which resets itself after inserting disk 1 in the setup prompt.

About the cdaudio problem I have talked about earlier, here it is: Hope it can be fixed as soon as possible. from 00:00, it goes directly to 05:54 skipping the other seconds.

EDIT: Rather, it doesn't install on Windows 3.1. It asks for the S3 Flat Model Driver Disk. Point Windows back at the directory containing the drivers. Also update your PCem checkout, as I've just committed a fix relating to these drivers. I think the 1 meg version of 640x480x16M is slightly broken …
