I have a few of those myself and they are pretty darn cool for SD-RAM and DDR memory. Then along came DDR2 that has heatspreaders integrated. Wish they did the same with M.2 and mSATA SSD drives.

@Arkku: there are utilities around that'll allow you to change the boot ROM and MPU from one to the other. I had to do the same thing for my 3Com EtherLink III 3C509-TP card's address from 300h to 280h since that conflicted with my Sound Blaster 16 CT2740's MPU (I have a Yamaha DB50XG on that card). …

My grandpa had one of those for his IBM Aptiva back in the 1990's and still has it. I have one myself for my Sound Blaster Live! 5.1 Platinum card that came as a bundle.

That is unusual. Normally, the CT4500 had the black jacks (no pun intended), and the CT4520 had the colored jacks. The reason why the person might've replaced said jacks was because they got confused which was line in, line out, mic, and spk out.

Not PC related, but I got my water heater to start up again since it's windy out and the pilot light went out because of it. Learnt the hard way that there was no hot water going through when I was taking a shower and washing my hands.

Day early, dollar earned: Friday: nothing really, except for formatting some 1.2MB HD diskettes I bought last week and watching Perry Mason on the DVR. Saturday: bowling, thrifting, getting new pads and rotors, and ordering a new ABS sensor for my car before the next snow fall. Sunday: laundry day

I've never fixed or repaired a power supply a day in my life and the only way to fix the power supply for me was to buy a new one and an ATX-AT w/ -5VDC adapter to go along with the new ATX PSU or spares I have.
