Do any of the manuals talk about a 5V header on the CPU itself? I think the last official Packard Bell BIOS 4.05.07 was meant for systems with the PCI riser card. That BIOS never worked for me, only the 4.03 BIOS and the Micro Firmware BIOS. I suggest flashing the 4.03 BIOS and then, the Micro Firmware 4.05.10 BIOS.

Drives faster than 32x are too loud for me, especially CD burners that are reading CDs. My old Lite-On DVD Burner is louder than my laptop's slim DVD Burner when reading CDs.
