Repaired a pair of headphones that lost its jack to some success, but I need better audio cable to sacrifice since the one the cable I'm using isn't working very well (audio increases and decreases volume, gets choppy, and only 1 channel works).

the only thing i did not like was the 8 KB L1 cache. is that upgradable to 16 KB L1 cache ?, don´t even know where that L1 cache is on the motherboard. Test the capacitors with a multimeter set to continuity mode (beeps) and look at the output of the caps. The card would always work in modern systems regardless of the PCI revision.

A 4-speed CD-R drive from 1993? Those drives could read and write up to 650MB, if my memory serves me right since 700MB CDs didn't come out until the late 1990s, yet expensive back then.
