I would suggest anything under a Windows 98 to run your old pc games. I believe there were 3 Mysts. The second is called RIVEN: The Sequel To Myst. The third was called Myst III: Exile

What is the reason why old games don't work in XP? Is it because the computer itself is a faster machine? ...or XP just has a different setup where old games can't connect the right settings correctly on XP?

I was really having trouble with this game. I just decided to install it on my Windows 98 computer and it worked perfectly. I suppose it's always good to have a 98 handy. :) Thank you anyway, I really appreciate it, Julie

I'm at day 10 and when i put the snake rod into the knothole, i get this fatal error message saying: error loading resource 803.snd:.. \restype.cpp(54) script 64989/$ed I checked and there isnt even a resource803 file in the gk folder! I tried running it in dosbox but i get another goofy message …
