That means the battery is empty, replace with a new CR2032 one. And check voltages in BIOS in the pc health section. Of course after you replace it you need to reconfigure the settings and save.

In the end the ensoniq audio pci 3000 (aka SB PCI 64) worked. The dos drivers uploaded by Phil to vogonsdrivers were fake, those were creative drivers for ES1371. Also the win9x drivers for ES1370 are corrupt. I uploaded them here: https://archive.org/details/es-1370-pci

That clear CMOS thing didn't make sense. PSU is bad, replace it. May be the motherboard too.

I've just tried with an asus p3b-f and it's the same. No FM but only sfx in dos. Seems some chips were defective and somehow they disabled the FM module. I confirmed that the software enables FM at least sometimes but i don't get any music.

I've tried "pt IO peek 1 0x0388" and i get FF. Then "pt IO poke 1 0xc01a 0x08" and i get 00 for the peek. According to that it should work and wolf3d detects adlib but i can't hear anything. Lauching setaudio with /F388 i also get 00 for the peek and adlib is detected but it doesn't work. Also …

That's typical, you need to disable the motherboard gameport in bios. Or disable the one on the soundcard configuring the drivers if possible.

Thanks. I've tried that and i get no sound, "remapcmi c000". Did you get FM? May be the card has no FM? @Kodi said the chip has FM and even later chips.
