The real size is 127GB max per ONE drive for win98. Anything larger leads to corruptions and crashes. I use 120GB or less drives for 98SE. I found and ordered what is probably the only (last?) affordable new 1920x1200 IPS monitor : the Acer BW257 . It handles 75Hz over HDMI and Displayport . I wonder if it will frameskip 70Hz through its VGA port (not that I would likely notice) .

It does sound like a 48bit LBA issue. The newer OS's bypass the bios once they boot and are fine, but any time the bios tries to use the drive, it fails.
