Installed the card on a nForce2 board and get the "Cannot find the AudioDrive." message. Can't say I am to excited about the card. Needed to hex edit ESSOLO.INI to enable the joystick port and Wolfenstein 3D doesn't recognize a SB card. So can only select PC speaker. Also can't change TDMA to DDMA …

You might be able to initialize the card with the "/0" switch but I don't think you will have much luck with the Sound Blaster emulation on your motherboard. A motherboard with a VIA chipset is a better option for that card.

Have you tried initializing the card with Unisound instead? It takes care of both PnP and Sound Blaster initialization.

I think the ESSOLO.SYS driver can emulate IRQ if it can't change the PCI IRQ to something proper for Sound Blaster. Run MEM /C /P to see if it's loaded as a TSR.

You can try this modded initializer where I exchanged PCI ID 2420 with 2440 (ISA Bridge), the value can be found at offset 4ADEh.
