The big scores come from nvidia geforce 2 and 3 cards, so use those.. 3dfx isn't that much slower but for some reason the nv cards with the right driver are a golden combination for this project. Beating the highest scores you'll probably need around a k6-3+ @660mhz or higher and an overclocked card …

Searched images high and low on the web but can't find anything. I guess some low cost brand as I have the higher end ones like the Asus boards and Gigabyte. Maybe a board from Soyo or A-trend or something. @Tetrium: which boards do you have complete with an original box? from s7 to s370 ... :o) …

I would say for best performance on ss7 (at least on Nvidia cards so maybe with v3 too): win98se without servicepacks directx7a ali V agp driver 2.13 on any k6 5,5 multiplier works better as the 6x so set the board at 5,5 with 110fsb for maximum performance. Screamer games on v5 is hard to get working so no wonder you have problems. Dosglide games can be difficult without a v1 or v2. In windows try direct3d first on both chips (3dmark99 or 3dmark 2000 for example) also check if both chips work, on the p4 the single chip should be much slower. On the k6 …

I used a minimal setup, just getting scores without any sound etc. installed. The really high scores can only be gotten by using a geforce2/3 with earliest drivers as possible. Every other card will be around half the points I guess. Compared to the ATi, I think even a G400 will score better? PLEASE …
