My motherboard supports both AGP 2x and 4x, does this make a difference? EDIT: The card is AGP x2 so wouldn't it work?

Some drivers cause freezing on typing "win" and "exit" in MS-DOS mode. I want to know the highest driver version that this doesn't happen in.
