I found FTP way too clunky and slow to use. I have no problems accessing Windows shares on Windows 10 from 98 SE machines. There is a tutorial on my channel if anyone is interested.

I used to have 4 devices daisy changed, plus an analogue mixer and audio switch box. There were so many cables. In the end I just ended up with one set of leads and I just plug in whatever unit I need at a time.

AFAIK that CPU doesn't have cool and quiet support.

AFAIK many CPUs with power saving features, can be manually configured in the BIOS. For example a Core 2 Duo or Phenom II CPU should go down to 800 MHz or so.

This is a good question and I'm asking this myself as well. I tend to test and benchmark the same games and when I used Windows XP recently, everything worked, it was only the 3DMark99 benchmark that wouldn't run. Maybe it's the earlier Windows games that cause issues under XP, and those run fine on …

I bought a steam key for the 2006 prey yesterday. A lot of older games just disappear from steam like TOCA 3 and others.

Yes that should work fine. The very early Slot 1 processors had different coolers, but P III all use the same I believe.

I looked into nForce2 in this video: https://youtu.be/z_sfv8kO3Nw With dual channel and CL2 memory, it can achieve a nice lead over a KT600 system for example. So yea, well worth keeping / using.
