Congrats, V5 5000 is great! 😀 It should work (and perform) very much the same like regular 5500 except in games that requires more video memory. The regular driver should do fine. SGRAM (if it works the same way like on Vooodoo3) might give you 1-2% more fps.

There is a chance the video BIOS got corrupted. It happened to me once on a Banshee card. You can try the V3 as a secondary VGA and see if it gets detected on the PCI bus. If yes, then you can try to reflash it. That may work, but also possible the flash chip is damaged and can't be flashed again. …

Swapping the regulators won't help - they are adjustable and therefore the same on both cards. Just with different output settings for V3 1000 and 3000. The settings are determined by resistors. Check the datasheet. https://www.digchip.com/datasheets/parts/data … Z1582CM-pdf.php

As far as I know, there is no V3 3000 AGP with SGRAM memory. So the only choice is to modify the current BIOS. Also the V3 1000 is not exacly great overclocker, IIRC it runs at lower voltage than 2k or 3k. So it may not hit 166 MHz at all.

Yes, DVI is possible with this board. But As you said, most likely impossible to find that addon. PCI riser is one of these generic chinese ones. Thanks, I am glad you like it 😀 Yes, I played Stargunner for a while and about hour of One Must Fall 2097. And also some quick testing of Duke 3D, Doom and Wolfenstein 3D to test the audio system. I am still waiting for the X2GS, which I will plug in soon and then I will enjoy the perfect MIDI.
