i rescued few 3Dfx Cards for friends, please try reflash the video bios. had a banshee and a v2000 pci with no picture.. after desoldering the bios, flash a new one and resolder it it works like new.

Uff FX suffered heavy from bad shader performance.. it was almost useless in every dx9.0b game.. my 9600XT easily beated a FX5950 in SM2.0... I never saw a 3D Blaster VLB with 4Mb Upgrade and running a Direct3D Demo/Game. Does it even exist ? neither i can find any video on YT showing this.

not big, just fragile 😀 if you often plug this in and out, or you may get caught in a cable.. it's easy to break it 😁

As far as i known the whole DSS is inside the Plug. The other Case just contains a Amp and the Volume knob right ?

https://www.fleasystems.com/flea86.html Flea86 is 80C51 running 80186 Emulation. Hm when using a FPGA would it not a better aproach to make it universal ? Supporting Cores like Mist. Eg Soundblaster Core, GuS Core, WSS Core and so on...

I usually recap older supplys for Sockel A Systems. Its pretty hard to obtain a good Power Supply for them 😒 I like this build very much 😀 specially the case you choose.

Capacitors are getting dry. And Supply will run out of spec. Eg. Ripple destroying your lovly 486 Mainboard.
