Why worse 98 combatiblity ? i have much badder experience with GeForce 2... A NX6200 GeForce with 128Bit Memory interface is much faster then a FX5600 on P3 1Ghz. And supports AGP 1x and 2x Slots. And if you have NV43 you can unlock it to 6600 and get fastest AGP 1x/2x GPU avaible. Blood 2 on …

i woudnt recommend a crippled fx model, shader 2 is really bad on them.. and a PIII 1.4Ghz can play a lot shader 2.0 Games. Optimal would something like a NX6200 with 128bit Memory/6600GT, or a Radeon 9600XT/9800

The S3 Savage had also a lot of driver issues, try a different one :) i used a S3 Savage with my K6-2 500 in the past.. and it had a lot of issues. at least Unreal Tournament in S3 Metal was running very well. Your choice of graphics card is bad for a Cyrix Setup. A Savage 4 requires CPU Power. A S3 Virge is a Decellerator. Get a Voodoo if you really plan to play 3D Games on it. I basically want to play 3dfx games, as I have a Voodoo 1 12mb card on the way from ebay. Ok you got it.

Ehh sorry, last supported Card is 6xxx Series.. Mistake 😀 There are unsupported drivers (modified) for 7xxx series, but they are unstable.

yes predecessor of the Core Architecture. The 2Gb Limit seems to be a BIOS Limit, the Hardware Limit is 3,2Gbyte. I Already found other devices on the NET with same chipset operating at least with this amount.

Rage is just a tweaked mach64 with triangle engine, don't expect too much. Many things are done in Software as i know. A Riva128 is a much better choice if you want a lowend Card.

i run GeForce Cards in 1x Slots with no Problems. There is no need do stick with a PCI Card. Even a GeForce 6200 runs in 1x Slot.

Looks like this is Bios Limitation, the Chipset seems to support at last 3,2Gb RAM. It lacks Memory Remap. Got Intel Datasheet 😒 Why a Synthic Limit ?!? Does anyone have a clue howto hack the BIOS for 3,25Gb Support ? Other devices spotting the same chipset also work with 3,25Gb (2x2Gb DDR2)
