Re: dgVoodoo 2 for DirectX 11

That's what I exactly suppose to do. I try to choose the native resolution because dgVoodoo cannot query the physical properties of the display so only the native resolution is the one that can be assumed to fit accurately to the display surface and there is no difference in 'centered' and ' …

Re: dgVoodoo 2 for DirectX 11

but stretching to the native resolution (1920x1080 in your case) as far as the aspect ratio allows that. Ah! Isn't a best option to mimic the driver "stretching but preserving AR" ? (maybe it's simpler too) 'Cause the problem is Radeon CAN'T do that (they always fill the screen, but GeForce CAN, …

Re: dgVoodoo 2 for DirectX 11

Little problem with the configuration UI: http://s16.postimg.org/r7rq57gv9/dgv.jpg As you see if you select "Geforce 4800" (or "ATI 8500") the RAM preset doesn't set automatically to the 128 limit (IMHO is the best choice for the branded virtualised VGAs, 256 can cause some problems, see UT crash at …

Re: dgVoodoo 2 for DirectX 11

Post Scriptum: setting Windows to 1280x960 (GPU Scaling ON + Preserve Aspect Ratio in Crimson, working well for a fullscreen 4:3 Windows Desktop with black bars only left and right) doesn't help either! With "Centered" and "Aspect Ratio (emulated)" the image is centered in a 1920x1080 frame. With " …

Re: dgVoodoo 2 for DirectX 11

(DXGI drives me crazy, I'm not sure if it can even detect the native resolution correctly). It's Hell itself ! :D AMD Radeon HD 7850, lastest Crimson, Windows (native) @1920x1080, 4 combinations in Crimson Settings (none working as expected :p ) Game is set to 1280x960 . GPU scaling OFF + Center …

Re: dgVoodoo 2 for DirectX 11

Just tried testing Final Reality ...but it doesn't detect any hardware when using the dgVoodoo2 2.5 DLLs (with and without D3DCompiler_43.dll), irregardless of vidoecard preset, and crashes when you attempt to adjust advanced settings or simply run the benchmark. Do note that the dgVoodoo2's DLLs …

Re: dgVoodoo 2 for DirectX 11

Tested with UT2004 and Unreal2 on a Win10 64 system. dgVoodoo is litterally *necessary*, 'cause without it the 2 games can run (ReduceMouseLag=false) but the gamma management is wrong. Thanks Dege, you're really a legacy gaming hero 😁

Re: dgVoodoo 2 for DirectX 11

Dege, about the video scaling problem, you can take a look here: https://www.dxgl.info/Downloads (source) Technically he cannot, DXGL is licensed GPL 2.1, while dgVoodoo2 is closed source. To actually use code from a GPL-licensed source in a closed-source project would be a license violation. …

idspispopd you're a lifesaver! You were exactly right, the DRM issue is what prevents PT from nominally running on Windows 10. Installation of a no CD patched .exe allows the game to run now. Thanks a lot! .....and allow use this: https://thirteenag.github.io/wfp#sec6 (PS3 textures @ the same site, …
