Re: dgVoodoo 2 for DirectX 11

Max Payne 1 and 2 (and maybe 3DMark 2000/2001) crash @start: http://postimg.org/image/85mjjbjl7/ + http://postimg.org/image/hnt8rsrph/ Maybe you can take a look here: http://reshade.me/forum/releases/419-d3d8to9 (ReShade hooks MP1/MP2 without any problem)

Re: dgVoodoo 2 for DirectX 11

Unreal Engine based game? The culprit is in the ini file :D (VSync in old *NOT MODIFIED* Unreal Engine 1 games works in reverse :D ) Wait, do you mean it does absolutely nothing when activated and works and vice versa? If you "enable" Vsync in ini config file ("1",) it doesn't works and if …

Re: dgVoodoo 2 for DirectX 11

I just noticed dgVoodoo2 seems to enforce a 60 FPS (or monitor-based framerate) limit on all the pre-DX8 games in my collection which support it, even when "Force Vsync" isn't enabled. Is this normal behavior? Unreal Engine based game? The culprit is in the ini file :D (VSync in old *NOT MODIFIED* …

Re: dgVoodoo 2 for DirectX 11

Nvidia aspect ratio override isn't working as of the latest drivers. So right now it's not possible to run games in their native aspect ratio on Nvidia hardware either  It works fine for me, just played Outlaws in 4:3 with Direct3D (Not using dgVoodoo) I'm talking about the override. D3D11 …

Re: dgVoodoo 2 for DirectX 11

Believe me, it IS a bad thing. There are some bugs specific to Intel, like flickering textures in NFS Hot Pursuit 2, and frame rate in Colin McRae Rally 2 is really bad, at least on Intel HD 4600. So we must kick Intel's support team door :D But in my experience the Intel HW is more compliant to …

Re: dgVoodoo 2 for DirectX 11

Dege, is there any chance that you implement DX8 wrapping to dgVoodoo 2? This might come in handy to some people. There is a nasty bug in Windows 10 installed on laptops with Nvidia Optimus technology that makes the games run on integrated graphics instead on GeForce: http://nvidia.custhelp.com/app …

Re: dgVoodoo 2 for DirectX 11

"Use centered timings" does work though :) If your're NOT using the native resolution in Windows. except I am. I am experiencing all this at 1920x1080. I am talking about Catalyst scaling options with dgVoodoo set to "unspecified". Are you talking about dgVoodoo scaling options? 'Cause with …

"Use centered timings" does work though :) If your're NOT using the native resolution in Windows. Unreal 226 (D3D7 original renderer) 1280x960 + dgVoodoo: *Monitor native resolution 1920x1080 @ 1920x1080 -> 1280x960 is stretched to full monitor either with "Aspect Ratio" and "Centered Timings". * …

Re: dgVoodoo 2 for DirectX 11

Yeah, the AMD Catalyst drivers require running in a non-native resolution before you can set the scaling options. Not since Cat 14.12 The problem is not that the scaling settings are not available but that they have no effect on dgVoodoo . They work fine if I run the same games in native mode. ' …

Re: dgVoodoo 2 for DirectX 11

Scaling is NOT working correctly with D3D10 and 11 since ever on Radeon GPUs :D It's a D3D10/11 problem (feature) :p It's why NVidia has the "forcing" option. There's some games where the scaling is not working on GeForce too, despite that option: STALKER CS (D3D10), STALKER CoP (D3D10/11) and …

For EAX try this: http://www.indirectsound.com/ Huh it says in their notes that EAX isn't supported? It's an alternative to Alchemy: http://www.indirectsound.com/games.html IndirectSound _does_ emulate EAX support , however. In other words, IndirectSound will pretend that EAX is supported so that …

I heard in many games you're meant to set it so that windows thinks you have 5.1 / 7.1 system but then in the creative control panel you set it to headphones and CMSS-3D on. Or is this nonsense. I think this is a work around for games that don't give the card 3d sound information unless you trick …
