Okay I looked into it, the mixer util contains a batch file which does the AU30MIX reset command. This resets the CODEC and writes a new VDB routing table for rear channel and S/PDIF output. It's probably whats causing the MPU output to fault for some reason. Don't use the reset command, it's not …

You have my permission, I don't think it has any side effects when ran, so it should be safe for public use. Put a txt doc with it and copy paste in my Tool usage advice from the prior post.

Here is a temporary fix for the S/PDIF issue plaguing the drivers. I made this tool back in 2016 so philscomputerlab's could record his A3D videos. (Sorry I haven't posted it till now!) This fix reroutes the VDB table and has the final audio mixdown also go out the S/PDIF channels @48kHZ. Just be …

Just don't expect Sensaura to work perfect with A3D 2.0. It's much better to run A3D 2.0 on real Vortex cards.

For the Half-Life video I'm pretty sure I tweaked the s_refgain value to 2 or something higher so that the reflections were more apparent.

Ohhhhhkay I've figured it out. It can't be done easily on Win98. Descent3 tries to enable A3D 2.0 by testing for hardware reflections caps in the driver through the IA3D interface. Only works on WinXP using that stupid A3D-live dll wrapper, it fakes the IA3D interface the game tries to load thus …

I'm going from memory here since it's been a while since I last played around with this. Descent 3's launcher wont enable A3D with a Santa Cruz. period. To get it to work I had to place the A3DAPI.dll v3.12 in the descent 3 dir, then launch the game manually with a command line switch to force A3D …

How funny, after all this time I thought such things were long forgotten 😉 I don't have the original patch file anymore, so I created a new one. But for whatever reason PPF-O-Matic won't apply it to the ISO I made, it acts like it does, but doesn't. I'll PM you an alternative.
