Yes, Mac stuff is sort of hard to find on here. I'm pretty familiar with PPC mac systems because I grew up with them. I do not recommend a voodoo card for a mac. It didn't work. I kept getting errors before it would try to flash. I think the flash chip might be locked, or something is preventing it from flashing. So I guess Ill stick with the small and loud hard drives for now. Ill update when and if I make any progress.

I found the AP5T ver 1.83 bios (currently on 1.62) I will flash it to 1.83 tonight and If that doesn't fix the problem, I will try the modded bios for the AX5T.

Have you tried resetting the pram and nvram. My rev.C imac did the same thing. It can boot os9 and osx 10.1 and 10.2. On page 49 of the manual there is jumper settings for the 2nd version of the motherboard. Try looking on the board if there is a sticker or etching that indicates version 2, or match up the jumper map on page 50 with your motherboard. If it is ver. 2, then try the settings on page 49.

I had an opteron 180 with 1gb ddr ram and a geforce 9500gt with 1gb ddr3 vram (later and for a short time, a gtx 550ti). Its pretty sad to know that your graphics card has more bandwidth than the rest of your system. But ultimante386's 280x just runs laps around the pentium D 🤣

So I connected pin r17 to a vss pin and the computer started up, but the computer still runs at 100mhz. I ran a benchmark and got the same score I get with running it at 100mhz. Alright, thank you for the hack. I will take the board out and solder a wire between the 2 pins. This is a non standard motherboard so it might give me a bit of trouble getting it out.
