This is really strange. The returned X2GS was tested and had normal volume when testing here. Are you sure they didnt get mixed up ? I can send you yet another one, i will pm you.

Hi, here are some suggestions : - press the reset button after bootup, to reinit the chip, does the noise go away ? This is needed for some pc's, depending on the bootup order and states of parallel port during this. Check parallel port settings in the bios. - turn the pot all the way and then back …
