Re: OPL2LPT

Hi, here are some suggestions : - press the reset button after bootup, to reinit the chip, does the noise go away ? This is needed for some pc's, depending on the bootup order and states of parallel port during this. Check parallel port settings in the bios. - turn the pot all the way and then back …

Re: AspringNobody's PCM-Wavetable Module Thread

I’ve got the display working but it adds some noise to the output. Maybe it needs its own power regulator? Also, with the audio ground as it is I can get signal if it’s hooked up to my audio interface and it sounds fine, but I don’t have sound from headphones unless I connect the audio ground to …

Re: AspringNobody's PCM-Wavetable Module Thread

i really suggest you try to get schematic with values. Looking on pcb traces, it is much harder to spot mistakes: i overlooked this at first (i thought you used vias), but now noticed you connected the crystal wrong : it has the capacitors in series between the crystal and the cpu. that is not right …

Re: AspringNobody's PCM-Wavetable Module Thread

Let's make your first PCB happen ! Some general feedback : - If you'd like detailed feedback on the forum, it may be best to add a screenshot of your schematic as well, now it is guessing for component values - MIDI baud rate and audio signals are relatively slow (in electronics terms), trace length …

Re: Beepblaster 1.0 Wavetable Module

Hi Community! The development of the Beepblaster 2.0 (Stereo with Beepmode) is ongoing and will be published here. Of course I'll test it beforehand, so it will take a while. Stay tuned. best regards Paddy Superb, very curious to see further evolution if you'd use a larger cpu, maybe it can also …

Re: Beepblaster 1.0 Wavetable Module

I did a thing... Serge if I send you the Eagle files can you look at this and let me know if there's anything obviously wrong? First time PCB maker lol. - Evan Hi Evan, feel free to send me PM, i will try to help, but normally I use kicad, not eagle, so my help may be limited to general comments. I …

Re: Beepblaster 1.0 Wavetable Module

I couldn't wait until these are available again so I hacked together two Arduinos to make one of these IN STEREO. Not as elegant as Ulfenknulfen's module -- but I'll have to wait my turn to get a hold of his. I STRONGLY recommend this as a breadboard project for anyone who is inclined to tinker! …

RGBtoHDMI Pro

Hi, I'm working on a 'spiritual' successor for MCE2VGA. MCE2VGA is no longer feasible due to sky rocket prices and unavailability of the needed FPGA / FPGA daughterboard. I started designing a new sturdy video converter, that should be able to convert MDA/CGA/EGA to HDMI, using CM4 compute module, …
