Maybe all the designers have stopped using the PCs altogether and are using only their windows 8 tablets... I renamed my Mobygames account and changed my email to something that i don't remember anymore, since it's too painful to continue my involvement there..

Prehistorik 1 supported digitized voice by placing the ct-voice.drv file (the one that came with the Sound Blaster card - also available at vogonsdrivers) in the game's directory. How are you "uninstalling" Windows XP? Anyway, what OS are you trying to install and make permanent? Either in XP or Win7 (or any other OS for that matter), you can use the setup to delete the partition of the hard disk and start all over again by creating new partition and install again.

VMWare & OPL3

Most may be aware of this already, but anyway, : You can enable OPL3 in VMWare by adding Copy code to clipboard 1 sound.opl3.enabled = "TRUE" in the vmx file. FM sounds play, but then the digital sound effects are gone. Tried with DOOM under MS-DOS 6.22 VM.

Thank You! It works in my Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit. I just clicked on the install.bat file in the user folder. The device management doesn't show it, but the Coolsoft Virtual MIDI Synth - the program I use to choose Soundfonts and to select the default MIDI output device in Windows 7, can see it. …

The easiest way, if you have a floppy drive, is to create or use a MS-DOS 6.22 Floppy Bootdisk.
