Will WINFLP use all xp hardware drivers with no trouble even though it's a stripped OS? Also how many of you have had the pleasure of testing it on the oldest systems? I heard it "runs like a dream" on a 500mhz cpu with 128mb ram. Can it run good even on a Pentium 1? What's the cut off for good …

you can just change the board out to a better board that supports the 233 or the ibm board that support the pentium 2.

It's just a stripped down version of xp. It'll support multiple cpu's still. Heck even 98 supports more than one cpu. Considering it was released long after windows 2000 (2006 I believe) it should be plenty stable. provided your hardware is stable. Dual slot 1 boards are kinda flakey with stability …

Don't use XP use WFFLP. Standard xp will run on old cpu's but it runs like crap if you don;t get rid of a lot of componenets

think you're going to have to do an atx conversion. Even if the power supply has a form factor , there aren't going to be any good power supplies that actually use it

Well I say google like crazy for a bios , but good luck. I think your best bet would be a small drive/compact flash card for the os , then when the os is loaded have a drive connected to a newer controller or usb perhaps.

Well I already did give the voodoo2 a try and while it was identified correctly and the drivers installed correctly , it didn't seem like the card was actually functional. I pulled it from a gateway destination , and truthfully I didn't know if it actually functioned in that machine either.
