The best way is to make a floppy with boot and copy the flash tool , the new bios file and select backup old bios just in case

To clarify what matze79 said - most boards with fake cache have chips that are not physically connected to anything! They're just placed on the board to make them look pretty, with traces that go nowhere. So you could solder in anything you like, it just won't do anything. I see :happy: . Gonna …

What is the dynex Chipset? I pay for each card about 2-3 euros Free shipping on eBay. On local flea market, about 1 Euro. What It matters is the Chipset only... I only know 2. . Via orl Ali... Both work with generic drivers downloaded from oficial site.

Bello, you can add a cheapo PCI USB 2.0 card. I use one on every build. You will get 2.0 USB speeds. I use a cheap ALi-based chipset one. In ME the driver is ready to go, in 98 or 2000 It must be installed. If you need it, PM me

I guess "chip" wise, the Vortex 2 (or AU8830) processes A3D 2.0 in hardware and little bits of A3D 3.0, whereas the Vortex 1 (AU8820) only processes A3D 1.0 in hardware, which sadly is the level also emulated by other slightly later cards such as anything by Creative (SB Live / Audigy / X-Fi). So …

I had setup that was failling in memory test x86 in step 8 or 9 and it was due to psu, I changed it, run the test again using the hirens bootcd and no errors at all. the test run for several hours with psu replaced. luckily for me the mobo and all were over a card box and not in place in the …
