9x does not have support for multiprocessors and it will just ignore any other cores.

AFAIK Keytronics are all rubber domes, usually high quality.

Pentium M laptops are too new to have sound drivers for MS-DOS... they all have integrated Realtek or Conexant chips.

They're quite scalable... for GX1 you can slocket them and go from a Pentium II 400MHz or whatever it has to oeuvre 1GHz... bump teh RAM to 512MB, add whatever drives you want, nab a nice PCI video card...
