Does your floppy drive work with other disks? Even if it does, you may want to try a different drive and see if they will work. I've got 3 different USB 3.5" floppy drives I use when imaging old disks. Some disks will work in one drive but not the others.

It should be on some of the install CD ISOs and you can still download it directly from Creative Labs. Look under the downloads for the Sound Blaster Live! cards.

The 2004 Microsoft Update CD is already on vogonsdrivers. I don't see a need to have updates on there separately as that CD should have everything for Win98 already besides the unofficial updates.

It kinda sounds like something else is messed up since one channel is working fine.. but who knows. What are the ports on the card? Does it have a Line Out? If you try that and get sound from both channels then you know it has something to do with the amplified output.

Try it in a slower computer. The no FM is classic "computer is too fast".. or rather.. "ISA bus is passing commands to the card too fast for it to handle" symptoms.

AMD still has the 6.2 Win9x set available for download. I might have some older ones but I kinda doubt it. Pretty sure I have all of the old NVIDIA drivers as I mirrored the ftp a while ago.
