I had this when I played around with Cyrix register settings on my MediaGX build. Some known unstable settings caused this and it improved without EMM386 present.

I'm gonna try this. I now run a S3 Savage with DFP with Win311 drivers at 1024 x 768 @ 24bit. It's awesome. Curious what I can do with this driver.

The newer ones are so small they don't have any need for mounting holes. But the older ones are full sized or a variant of half sized and can use those for support pins. Some have a lot of weight as well.

That might actually help a bit with heavier & not tight fitting boards but does that throw off the design/costs a lot?

Sweet! Is there any chance that a hole will be added to secure a wavetable daughterboard with one of those pins? Half sized daughterboards will sit a bit more securily in that case.

I own 2 Extremes and even with that I'm keen on getting a MK1869 XTREME. How is audio routed? Interwave part goes through AUXB on the ESS? How is the wavetable header audio routed? And can the Interwave and a wavetable be active at the same time (I see a Wavetable Selector jumper).

I have an Acer Magic S23 which like the Terratec uses a CS4232. I had trouble getting this card to work because the EEPROM was corrupt. Is there a tool for the Terratec to check the EEPROM? For the Acer I used Resource: http://vogonsdrivers.com/getfile.php?fileid=925

According to the MediaGX databook the configuration register for the multiplier is read-only, so it's unfortunately not possible.

Here is the bios for the Advantech POS 7551 & 563. I don't see a MIDI port option in the BIOS so I'm afraid it's of little use.

On my Advantech board I was able to install Creative SB16 drivers in pure DOS. But the MIDI/Joystick port has been omitted on these boards. I had a ECS P5GX-M but didn't try MIDI on that one. When I'm home I will dig up the BIOS for the Advantech (POS 7551).

Can anyone point me where to find CrysDLS v3.11? I didn't know there were multiple versions. The original link in this thread expired and the driver packs I've tried are all the older versions.
