Re: What's up with my F1 key?

I've updated to the latest bios revision for this board and I found a Microsoft Wireless Keyboard 800 (USB) to test, same symptoms persist! Shouldn't the USB keyboard be using a ps/2 emulator? Symptoms persist using USB legacy mode in real dos mode. If the attached image is correct the keyboard …

Re: weird scrolling on 386

It probably adds 40 pixels so when doubled you get a nice 640x480 resolution, probably the native resolution of the laptop. I hope the patches work, because it's also possible it forces 60Hz for the internal LCD, which can cause timing issues.

Re: There’s only one ’t’ in ‘FasMath’: a long-neglected 386. FREAKING FINALLY, LET’S BUILD THIS.

 Nice. As a Gravis UltraSound fanboy I approve  thx for the offer! No problem! I've never run into any situation where a PnP is incompatible over a GF1 Except for the prepgame.exe for Epic Mega Games (which is for the detection routine if I'm not mistaken), it should be 100% compatible. …

Re: Matrox G200 PCI + Digital Flat Panel problems

The Matrox G200 now gives an image through the Flat Panel add-on. I've installed the latest BIOS on the card and I have an image in pure DOS and DOS games. I have to do further testing, but it seems it doesn't like my TV as a monitor. Some things I've noticed: - DOS is diplayed as 640x480@60Hz; - …

Re: Changing hsync polarity on the fly

I've played with the scaling registers. When using the registers for scaling everything <480 I get a fullscreen image on VGA and DFP. So it means the card is set to 480 pixels on purpose and that it's not a case of a misconfigured or misindentified signal. When I turn on the registers for scaling, …

Re: Changing hsync polarity on the fly

Mode 13h is displayed as 640x480@60hz, with black borders. It's possible that it is forced for compatibility reasons, as this card was advertised to be used with a digital projector. But doesn't the BIOS just set the registers to achieve that?

Re: Changing hsync polarity on the fly

That's quite odd; officially there is no such VGA mode. Did you read it from port 0x3CC? They are both negative, I got confused. The default value is E3. If I change the value and start a game and read the value afterwards, it's back to E3. I tried setting it to A3, as I think those should be the …
