Yes it is 😀 it's fast and pratical.. All games under 1999 run perfectly, and others are going very well until 2001/2002 The OS is Windows 98SE

problem solved! In bios was the "internal cache" disable! thanks to both! 😀 now doom time demo 35x1091/2035 = 18,764! 😁 EDIT: I'm found another voice "external cache=absent set to present" now the system recognize 64KB Cache but doom decrease at 16,918 fps

All cache slot are filled, and switch cache are set to 64KB every 8 cache chipset are "ISSI IS61C64A-25N 9227" in the comparative of the pc mag. article, the best notebook mounts just the wd 90C30!.. : 😲 and in other thread the WD 90C30 it's compared to ET4000 😢

Maybe the poor performance are also guilty of integrated Paradise/WD 90C30 or mainly of ram?

With ultimate doom 35 x 3863 / 18690 = 7,23 FPS Yes the turbo button is on, when I switch off the difference it's clear

The timedemo goes slowly.... the results are 1091 gametics in 7382 realtics with ultimate doom 3863 gametics in 18690 realtics

I noticed an improvement going from a Opti 931 soundcard to a Creative SB16/Vibra CT4180... it's possible? I will try tonight the timedemo

My first 486 back in 1993 supported 8x16MB SIMMs for a total of 128MB. The board was some generic special. It wasn't that rare. I think my 486 is 91/92, do you remember if they were SIMM 30pin or 72pin ? I tried the Cy486DX2 50MHz, without jumper setting, the system works but is quite unstable ... …

I will check tonight the exact version of 486 installed the real problem is the ram... 30Pin ram is really expensive e really rare I think the maximum RAM supported is 16MB with 8x2MB

Ok thanks to all but my test will have to wait I've only a Cyrix 486 Dx2 50MHz (with green heatsink) and the 25MHz FSB could need jumper configuration
