If you want to keep the installation/files you can try to use sysprep on it. Works fine for Win 7 and up. You'll have to reactivate it, though.

Found out MS discontinued the service last week too. Used the trusty WSUSOFFLINE to fetch and apply update. Version 9.2 was one of the latest to feature Win XP support. http://download.wsusoffline.net/
