Is ME always capable of running games that run fine on W98SE but don't necessarily state they can run on ME? I'm not aware of any title that doesn't work, and I can't think of a reason why it wouldn't. Windows Me is still 9x.

I suggest creating separate "hardware profiles" for both systems: https://expertreplies.com/how-to-create-hardw … windows-nt-4-0/ This way you'll avoid constant reinstallation of every device on boot.

It's probably just dual ps/2 on these older laptops, one for the keyboard and one for the mouse Most probably this is the case.

And you should definitely have smartdrv enabled. Otherwise disk performance will be very poor. Seems to me smartdrv causes more problems than it solves in some cases. I never had a problem with smartdrv other than having to make the buffers smaller to run some memory-hungry games on a 4 MB machine.

For the past eight years or so, I've been playing Tomb Raider, at the average speed of one or two levels a year. Once or twice I lost my most recent save, which set me back by about two years. I'm on the last level at the moment, so there's a chance of finishing the game this year 😀 Next: TR2.

Probably won't work as its using OpenGL (and probably a much newer version than whatever is available for Win9x :D). It's not a 3d game so it doesn't really need anything more than OpenGL 1.x for simply displaying the framebuffer, but sadly it won't run on my laptop with Intel graphics and OpenGL …

Does it work for anyone? I tried in two different locations but it cannot download anything. Country lock, maybe? EDIT: never mind, I deleted c:\ProgramData\Battle.net folder which contained some old files from 2014 and it started downloading now.

There are many good unix-like utils in the DJGPP package. http://www.delorie.com/djgpp/ many of them work flawlessly under DOSBox, some others not so much (e.g. the GCC compiler is buggy due to no LFN support in DOSBox).
