Re: DosBox Distro - A LiveUSB made simple

If I know what in VMWare listed Linux distro fits with the here choosen TinyCoreLinux (is it debian based?), I would try again. I've tested it with Ubuntu (as the preselection for the OS). Also, I am not sure I would be able to install the VMware additions if there is no OS access (instead, just …

Re: DosBox Distro - A LiveUSB made simple

A short question, I visted github, followed the dropbox link, and downloaded DBD_BETA.iso . Then I tried to boot within VMware Workstation Player 16, and was surprised that the DOSBOX window at the end is soooo small. Using the "fullscreen" option in VMware WP did not resized the DOSBOX window, …

Re: DOSBOX significantly slowing down while displaying a lot of single characters using BIOS functions ??

opengl looks a bit more blurry/blurred but shows the same effect. The only parameter which influences it drastically is "cycles", as mentioned before. Setting it below 4000-5000 will stop the slowdown, if set to max it has also the most slowing down effect. I will try to accept it, also because if I …

Set to 4000 makes it less visible, using 3000 it is almost invisible. So what is the exact explanation if cycles > 4000 are used ? Why is this so "parameter cycle" …

Re: DOSBOX significantly slowing down while displaying a lot of single characters using BIOS functions ??

May be it's related with the sizing / the size of the DOSBOX Window - I'm using one almost twice sized (compared to the unscaled size). Or in other words, my DOSBOX window is resized to a bigger size than the default offers. I guess these parameters may influence it, too (settings come from dosbox …
